Review: Tony Moly Lip Tint Cherry Pink #1

Hello! One more midterm and I'm finished with school stuff... till exams next month. e_e I cannot taste the freedom at all since I'm also taking summer classes. T_T Well, that's life.

But... that doesn't deter me from writing reviews. :D

Today I have another lip tint, from Tony Moly. I received this product as a complementary sample  from a previous order online, and I think the size is generous enough to make a review on. :)

I love the packaging, it's like a cheery, so cute! I'm always a sucker for cute packaging. :P

I've used a quite bit, but some of it leaked too. :(

Very tiny applicator, standard shape.

Swatch!

Bare lips, I think I'm getting use to this. xD

With one coat of tint.

For some reason this tint did not show up on camera that well, but in reality, I found it to be very pigmented. Even after I blotted my lips with tissue, It was very vibrant.

The colour is a dark pink-red. One coat is good enough for me. Its very pigmented and buildable, and can be used to create a gradient look. However I found it to dry very quickly after application, and need to be blended really fast before it completely stains my lips.

The staying power is good, I can still see the stain after about 5 hours, but faded.

There is a slight cherry taste to it, but I don't like cherry  =_=, and it's also a little bitter.

I don't know if it's just me but my lip tints are always leaking if I don't store them upright! Dx It happened to this one too! :( I can only carry it around if I store it in a plastic bag.

Overall, this is a great lip tint, I would recommend it to everyone who likes this colour. Even if you have pigmented lips, this will most likely show up on it.

Pros
  • Free sample
  • Pigmented
  • Buildable
  • Good lasting power
  • Stains lips, leaving a faint colour
  • Cute packaging
Cons
  • Dries very quickly
  • Leaky bottle (?)
  • A little bitter

If you have tried this product, please tell me how you liked it, I would love to know!
Ah, I'm surprised I am still writing reviews, and have not yet given up. :D
I will keep doing this till forever!! xD
I need to fiddle with my camera a bit on the white balance, some pictures have really dissimilar hues. =/
Well that's all for now, please expect for sparkly reviews to be coming soon!^^

  1. So cute! I'm surprised you got a free sample of it! I've only ever seen it being sold as a sample piece~ For your photos, it might help if you use a colour card with white, black and grey so you can rebalance them on Photoshop or some other photo program!
