Hello hello everyone!
How are you all this week? :D
Sorry I haven't posted in the last few days, I was having some trouble with my laptop's fan, and it caused my laptop to randomly shut down, so it was really a pain to do anything on here. t.t
But I got myself an external fan, so the problem is temporarily fixed now. :)
Anyways, today I have another sheet mask review!
This one it's quite interesting, since it's a gel type, and this is my first time trying out a gel type sheet mask, so I was really excited to see the effects of this. I have also stumbled upon Sam's review on this mask a few days ago, and she mentioned it was cooling, which I'm really glad since it's so humid and hot here!
Please read on to see the full review and photos~
The package is the largest of all the sheet masks I have used! I guess it's more difficult to fold a gel mask.
This mask says it would cool and hydrate skin. It also claims to contain Vitamin C and Alaska Glacier water, the latter which I am a bit skeptical about, is also claimed to be in the Skin Food Facial Ice Vita Mist, but I'm curious if they actually harvested the water all the way from Alaska. o.o
The sheet mask right out of the package. It has a white plastic that needs to be peels off.
On my face. :D
It's very jelly like, and on the outer side it is smooth, while the inside is textured so it grips on to the skin better.
And the mask itself. They always look funny. xD
The feel of this mask is very jelly like! But it also feels fragile, like I could tear it very easily, and it did on the side of the nose cut out in the photo above. The gel texture of this mask makes it difficult to fold, leaving gaps where it's too big for my face, like in the photo above, where the mask protrude on the sides of my chin. I had to keep flattening it to keep it on my skin. The mask at first didn't feel like there was much essence on it, but it wasn't dry, I liked the fact that there wasn't a waste of essence.
I left this on my face for about 30 minutes. Since it's a gel mask, I couldn't really feel it getting dryer. It was very cooling when I put it on my face, and it feels very nice especially on hot summer days, and it kept my face cool throughout the 30 minutes that I had it on. After I toke this mask off, it left my face a bit sticky, but not as much as some regular cotton sheet masks. It did make my face feel very refreshed and moisturized, so it did do what it claims to do. The scent is light, fruity, but also a bit artificial, I am neutral towards it.
Overall, I would give this mask a 3.5/5. It does what it's supposed to do, but I didn't like the fit of the mask and wasn't too fond of the scent either. The price for one of this mask is also quite expensive $5.65 on W2Beauty, so I wouldn't repurchase this, but might try the other types in this range.
Have you tried a gel masks before? How did you like it?
Thanks for reading this review! Hopefully I'll have the next post up very soon. :)
Now it's time for me to prepare for an interview tomorrow. D:
Quite nervous. +_+ hehe. But hopefully everything will go smoothly.
Anyways, I see you next post~! :D
