Hello hello lovelies~
Have you ever wanted paler skin? I find the contrast of Western and Eastern cultures' view on beauty and skin tone quite fascinating. Although there are obvious variations in individuals, I do prefer paler skin on myself and do try to keep out of the sun as much as possible. :D
This product was totally new to me, I have never tried an instant whitening product, but was pleasantly surprised by it.~
I actually got this product from one of the Memeboxes, which I'm so obsessed with currently. =.=
Never heard of this brand before.
Product DescriptionThis lotion whitens skin immediately upon application. It claims to be sweat proof and water proof, and will last all day! You can apply it on various parts of the body, such as face, arms, or legs, and it will stay on without any stickiness. It's a KFDA (Korean Food and Drug Administration) approved whitening product, so it is safe to use.
It is best applied after toner and essence.
It has 40ml of product.
-Taken from TesterKorea
This whitener is made by a Korean company called Planet Beaute Cosmetics, which I've never heard of before.
English ingredients on the side.
Regular squeeze tube. Apparently, this also comes in a bottle form according to eBay, but also with 40ml.
Swatch! I applied this to half of my arm to show the colour difference. I think the results are quite prominent, and I find if you squint your eyes it would be easier to see. :)
After using this whitener on some occasions, I find that it really does work to a certain degree, however it is not a permanent whitening product, and I did not find it to have lightened my complexion after several uses. This product also contains Titanium dioxide which is a white pigment used in cosmetics, which explains the immediate whitening effects it gives. It may also cause white-cast in flash photography.
When squeezed out it is a creamy white lotion with tiny pink/red specks in it. I am not sure what the specks are but I found a colorant in the ingredients call Red 30 Lake, which may be added for a more natural whitening look. They do disappear once spread out. The consistency is lovely, like a light lotion, and can be easily spread out evenly. The lotion is not thick or sticky and feels very weightless, so you can apply makeup over it like normal.
Although as you can see from the swatches, the results are very subtle, I think it's good enough if you just want to slightly brighten/whiten some areas without it looking totally different from the rest of your skin tone. Another plus is that it lightens according to your skin tone, so you would only get one or two shades lighter, no matter what your original skin tone is. I usually use the Etude House Sweet recipe primer before my makeup, but with this lotion I can get the same brightening effects without it being as thick as a primer, but do note this doesn't offer the other benefits of a primer.
It's very difficult to see how long this stays on for, but it does seems to be waterproof after testing under running water. At the end of the day, I really couldn't tell that I still had this on, so I think it fades thought the day. The scent is not bad, it's a light vanilla scent, very subtle.
-Can be used on face and body
-Can be used on any skin tone
-White-cast in flash photography
-Doesn't last entire day
Overall, I think for what it claims, it works perfectly! Since it did not claim to have long-lasting effects, I didn't expect it to be anyway. The white-cast is expected for almost everything with SPF anyways, otherwise I have no complaints for it.~
Have you tried this kind of whitening product? Or do you not want to be paler? x)
Thanks for reading~ :)
