Spring Makeup Haul: W2Beauty + Testerkorea

Hello Everyone~
Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians. ^^
I've been on quite a spending streak for the past month or so, I blame Memebox mostly! But I also got a few Korean cosmetics that I have been eyeing for some time. I made two orders; one from W2Beauty and the other from Testerkorea, they came in at around the end of May and end of June respectively, so might as well call it a spring haul :D, so without further ado let's dive in! (Picture Heavy!)

W2Beauty
First let's start with W2Beauty, I ordered from them on April 21st, they sent out the package on April 29th, about a week's wait. I received the package on or around May 25th, almost a month, which is a bit longer than usual packages from Korea to Canada, 2-3 weeks, but this is beyond W2Beauty's control. I had to email Alice for the tracking number, it toke a few days for her to reply, but the overall customer service is good. I'm just glad everything arrived safely, and no custom fees. :D

Packaging
The W2Beauty package came in a regular cardboard box, every item inside was bubble wrapped neatly even the samples, with the exception of the 2 free sheet masks and a grape flavoured candy! The box was not too big or small, but everything fit snugly.

Products
Most items I bought were on a whim, I had accumulated some vouchers and just wanted to spend them, but turned out spending way more than I'd planned, like always. t.t

Etude House Color My Brows (#3 Red Brown) || $7.96

I recently dyed my hair a reddish brown shade, so I wanted my eye brows to match. Just wanted to try this since it's a fairly unique product, and reviews are gearing towards the positive. :)

Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer || $8.42

Finally finished my Urban Decay primer sample that came with one of their palettes, was going to get the full sized version since it worked on my oily lids quite well, but after searching online many say this works just as well, and much cheaper too. And hey it's Etude House, can't pass that up. xD

Holika Holika Magic Pole Mascara 2X || $15.94

I saw this in one of the Holika Holika stores near where I live, the wand looked really interesting, but physical stores are so expensive! So naturally I turned online for it. :3 First time trying a Korean mascara, hopefully it will suit my barely-there Asian lashes.

Tonymoly Petit Bunny Gloss Bar || $5.19
Etude House Tear Eye Liner || $8.96

This was actually my first Tonymoly Bunny Bar, but (not) surprisingly Memebox Tonymoly edition had one in it as well, glad it was a different shade though! I have been loving this so far, no wonder so many people are raving about it.
The Etude House Tear Eye Liner was something I picked up last minute, I always thought this was an unnecessary product since eyeshadows can easily create the same effect on the inner corners, but this actually do make me look teary eyed, well sorta, much more liquidy, and shiny. :D

Lioele Mix Eyebrow Cake || $15.98

More brow stuff! Needed a lighter brow powder for my newly dyed hair, and there was so much brand selection, but the products looked so similar between all the brands. I chose one of the cheaper ones from Lioele, and I doubt there is much difference in eyebrow powders, correct me if I'm wrong though. :D

Missha Super Aqua Refreshing Cleansing Foam || $13.82

I've tried a sample of this, and I even think I have a mini review on it too from long ago! It was pretty good, so why not. I'm not too picky on cleansers. :3

6 samples and 2 sheet masks! Been seeing a lot of Benton samples these days.

Testerkorea
I ordered from Testerkorea on May 23th, back then they still had their old buggy site, and I had to manually order through email, glad their new site is much smoother. The package was sent out on May 30th, also a week's wait. I received it on June 24th, which is around 3 weeks, average time for regular post. The customer service was responsive, when ordering they responded almost immediately. I had to email them for the tracking number, they responded 2 days later.

Packaging
The products came in a plastic box, which may be better than cardboard because of its waterproof ability. The box was quite big for the amount of products I've ordered. Products were not individually bubble wrapped but there was a layer of bubble wrap on top of the box, then some Styrofoam marshmallows beneath. :D

Products
I ordered some stuff that has been on my to try list, not much, but so excited to try them out!! Heard loads of great reviews on them too. The individual products were not bubble wrapped, but they had rubber bands or plastic wrappings on them.
A sachet of samples, and the rest of the goodies!

Etude House Play 101 Pencils (#12, 26, 35, 47) || 6,000 won each

Ah the items that I have been looking forward to the most! I actually didn't know these where twistable, silly me. They even come with a tiny sharpener hidden inside the bottom, how thoughtful! I can see the red ones being very versatile as blush or lip colour or even on the eyes. While I chose the blue as a more daring colour for the eyes and the gold as a basic one. I should have gotten one of the nude colours too, as I've heard they make great concealers. And I also love the fact they all come in there own boxes!

3CE Lip Pigment (Mink Beige, Mellow Pink) || 12,000 won each

Finally decided to try some 3CE! I love the simple matte packaging, but it's so much smaller than I've imagined. The promotional pictures said the lip pigments were mixable to create new colours, so I got 2 to play around with. :)

5 samples!

And here's everything!

Colourful haul, since it's mostly a makeup haul this time. I haven't been needing to buy much skin care products ever since I've been getting some Memeboxes, restricted myself now, since I have a drawer full of unused skin care products, don't want to become a hoarder. D:

I will be reviewing everything here in the following months, so stay tuned! If you have anything that you want to see reviewed early, please let me know in the comments. :)
I'm most psyched about the Etude House Play 101 pencils, I've swatched them just to test it out, and they were so creamy and pigmented!

Have you tried any of these products or want to?

Thanks for reading!

  11. I tried the mascara a few times, it's a bit too clumpy for my taste, but it does have fibers to elongate the lashes. :)
