Unboxing: August Beauteque BB Bag

Today is a special post in collaboration with Beauteque's BB Bag! They kindly contacted me to review their August BB Bag, and of course I was very excited to do so. :)

Product Description
If you haven't heard of the Beauteque Beauty Bag (BB Bag) before, it's basically a monthly subscription service created by Beauteque, a Korean beauty online shop at where you'll receive seven to eight full sized products in every bag each month! These items can range from makeup, skincare, fashion and lifestyle products.~

There are 3 options to the method of subscription; month to month, 3 month prepaid, 6 month prepaid or 12 month prepaid.

The pricing are as follows:
Month to month = $24/month
3 month = $24/month
6 month = $23/month
12 month = $22/month

So you can have the option to try it out for a month, and if you enjoy it, you can subscribe for a longer period at an overall cheaper price!
As for billing and shipping, you'll get billed on the 15th if you choose the month to month option, and if you subscribe after the 5th of the month, you'll receive the bag of the next month's. The 15th is also the date they start to ship out the bag each month.

Also one feature of this bag that I really like is that in every bag, there are a few products in which you can have the option to choose. Such as a lotion's scent, lipstick colour, or a perfume flavour etc. A survey for these options will be sent out on the 15th, and if no option is chosen by the 20th, the team will choose for you.

Finally I have a special offer for you readers! If you use the coupon code: SPARKLYCHEE with your BB Bag subscription, you'll receive a free sheet sheet mask with your bag! :D YAY

Okay, let's move on to what's actually inside this month's BB Bag!

As a bonus each month a cute pouch is also included to hold all the goodies! I'm really glad this bag was the August BB bag, I love the mint colour and the bow, very girly and I can see my self using this to hold random knick knacks~

This month's theme is Treasure Chest! A variety of beauty products are included, and I'm super excited about the Mizon product! >u<
The info cards has the product description, instruction and pricing. Very useful since some Asian products do not include English instruction.

And all the products inside!

Pure Derm Clean and Fresh Peeling Gel
This mask deep-cleans and mildly exfoliates skin for a refined finish.
To Use: Apply to clean face and massage in evenly. Rinse after approximately one minute.

I really like peeling gels, especially for that satisfying peeling feeling, this seem to contain a lot of product, with a screw on cap, awesome~  I can't wait to try it!

 Hanaka V-Line Chin Patch
Ingredients including collagen and centella asiatica will firm skin and encourage a v-line shape of the chin.
To Use: Apply to chin by hooking mask behind ears, allowing chin to rest in mask for 20 minutes. Remove and massage any remaining essence into skin.

The packaging of this is too cute with the Alice in Wonderland Queen theme. These kinds of masks claims to create a "perfect v-line face" are always gimmicky to me. Maybe it will decrease swelling around the area for half a day, but I'm not betting for exaggerated results. But I'll keep my mind open, and I love sheet masks in general anyways. :)

 Pure Derm Hair Mask
Chamomile - Helps to reduce the look of damage and reduces frizz.
To Use: Shampoo hair and rinse, then apply mask, combing evenly through hair. Leave on 5-15 minutes depending on porosity of hair, then rinse.
Another Pure Derm product and I received the chamomile mask. This seems like a deep conditioning product, and I like it, I'll use it when special events come up. Seems like I can get 2 uses out of this too.

The Saem Cover Perfection Concealer Tip
Conceal blemishes for a flawless finish. Product is long-lasting.
To Use: Dot onto area(s) needing coverage and tap lightly into skin to cover.

A simple concealer that seems to be in my skin tone range, I will do a review on this when I get to it!

Holika Holika Wonder Drawing No Smudge Liquid Eyeliner
Define eyes without mistakes with this smudge-proof liner. Also will not flake during your day or night.
To Use: Draw line on with a steady hand from the inner to outer corner of eyelid. Use in the same method on the bottom lash line if desired.

I'm not a big fan of eyeliner of any kind, as it doesn't matter what, they always smudge/transfer on me. :( But I've owned a liner from L'oreal really similar to this and it was alright. Maybe this one will actually not smudge on me! Will do a review when I use it.

 Blotting Paper
Absorb oil and banish shine without compromising your makeup.
To Use: Dab face with sheet wherever there is oil buildup/shine and then discard sheet.

These are mint coloured blotting sheets. Compared to other blotting sheets, these are bigger and have a sturdier packaging. I tried one and it seems to do it's job fine. The charm detail on the front is cute though!

Mizon All in One Snail Repair
This multitasking cream moisturizes, reduces appearances of wrinkles, and reduces acne scarring and blemishes.
To Use: Apply to clean skin and allow to absorb.

This Mizon snail cream has been on my vast imaginary to-try list for a long time, I'm so pleasantly surprised they included this in. This is probably the star of this month's bag, valuing at $25, quite pricy! I will definitely be reviewing it when I get to it~

The total value of this bag ended up to be $71.25! If taken at face value it's almost triple the value of the cost of the BB Bag! Even if some prices may be inflated, I think it's still worth the amount paid for. Especially since almost all of these products are usable to everyone. One improvement that could've been made in this bag was to have the option to choose different shades of concealer, as there are much more diversity in skin tones in the west, which Beauteque seems to cater to.
But overall I think it's a great way for those who are new to Asian beauty products to try out some popular and trusted brands, and also discover new ones for regulars.

Also, Beauteque has another subscription service called Mask Maven, which sends out several sheet masks each month for you to try. If you're a sheet mask hoarder like me, you'll definitely want to check that out too!

Hope you've enjoyed this post~
If you have any review suggestions or new post ideas, I would love to know!
Thanks for reading!
